Godfrey is a stand-up comedian, actor, and media personality widely regarded as one of the most original voices in comedy.
A fixture of the stand-up world for over two decades, he is known for his fearless point of view, incisive social commentary, and elite-level impersonations. His newest hour special REBEL WITH A CAUSE most recently premiered in January 2026 following his half hour Netflix special under Tiffany Haddish’s THEY READY series. His previous specials also include Comedy Central’s GODFREY: BLACK BY ACCIDENT, and Showtime’s REGULAR BLACK.
